Civil Wars are not where our military ought to be. It happened in Vietnam and the rightwing lied about it and kept that "war" going forever. It's happened again in Iraq and we're looking at the same devastation to US interests and our military. Remember too, the debt spending of Vietnam and damage to our military took a decade or more to repair. So think of what damage Bush is doing now. He will be leaving us about 7 trillion in new debt but a devastated Army, Marines and National Guard. Plus, terrorism has gotten stronger the longer we stay in Iraq.
