Iraq is hardly the only action of our government.

Are you trying to maintain the the black caucus has had zero effect on any rule, regulation, or other government action since Bush was elected? If so you are making a rather unsupportable assertion. And of course "influence on the actions of our government" isn't limited to "since Bush was elected".
