Right on the mark!
Nice post.

While Marky poo claims to decry the "true believers"...it is obvious he was merely projecting his own behavior on others....

Involvement of civilian contractors at Abu Ghraib has been documented.

guardian.co.uk

corpwatch.org

truthout.org

Etc, etc etc.

Has any civilian contractor been charged or held accountable?

Point 2: You are trying to sell the point that the individuals charged at Abu Ghraib acted totally on their own volition. That is just not believable to me. Military discipline is such that a soldier does NOTHING without receiving orders. Now you can go ahead and believe the fairy tale that no one else knew or had anything to do with the Abu Ghraib prisoner abuse but I don't believe it. JUST BECAUSE IT HASN'T BEEN PROSECUTED DOESN'T MEAN THAT NO ONE ELSE WAS INVOLVED. First, it goes totally against military discipline, and second it is established that civilian contractors were there. And third there is a huge incentive for the military to sweep under the rug whatever they can about this.

So yes I stand by my statement that you are naive if you think the prosecutions that targeted only the schmucks at the bottom reveal the whole truth in this case.

As far as the double standard is concerned, the fact that I am right will be shown the first time any other country tries to exercise their version of the Bush doctrine. We already saw the reaction when Sadam invaded Kuwait. I'm sure there are many other examples. In substance I am right even though maybe in form we don't broadcast it.
