I believe in 'em. And do note that I drink in pubs where insults are delivered kindly. If you're gonna insult someone, please deliver it in a clever, non-crass, manner. Makes both for better reading and better consciousness. But calling people pedos or homos and then having a followup recommendation mark on such posts is, in a word, demeaning. In my opinion, I think the recommendation function should be reserved for something written that's substantive, of import.
