I'd love to meet Huey!..Folkman almost doesn't count since I was working at Children's and taking care of his surgical babies during the 80s before his endostatin experiments took off..but when Jeff got sick, we called on him..

Ya know, I've never summarized famous people I've met..I'm surprised myself..there are more since I had the time to think about it..I lived around the corner from Robert Parker's house..beautiful, fanciful Victorian that the modest blue blood neighbors cringed about!..he and wife lived on separate floors, separate dogs, etc..

Moving to Cambridge was the best thing I could have done for my development..early 80s, me in my young 20s, it was still raw with ideas fermenting and famous people always around..any idea I had, I easily found folk to talk about it..over time, I had 2 distinct worlds in which I walked back and forth..my nursing and 'other' in Harvard Square..here, age was not a divider of social groups..folk from their 20s-80s hung out..one of my dearest died last October at a young 80;-)..just several months prior, I'd pulled an all-nighter with Larry that ended with breakfast in the South End across the street from Tufts Medical School..they were cramming for finals and we were craving pancakes and eggs!..ah, those were the days..never to be repeated...
