I work in a Hospice and know more about what is going on than you ever will. You go ahead and live your illusions. When reality catches up with you the facts will be there to experience.

That's the problem with DD and his quack machines. People like you are too afraid of death to actually take a look at what it really entails. Most of the people he helped off were in pretty good shape with months if not years of very good quality life in front of them. They were afraid more than sick and old DD just set up his Rube Goldberg death machines in the back of truck and let them have a go.

I don't favor pain or suffering. I think there should be a moment when people have the right to take an early exit. But I have seen some people become so much more human and real in the final months of their lives. When they finally left life they did so as incredibly strong souls who had gained an understanding of life that they had lacked just months before. If you had asked them if it was worth it they would have said 'Yes definitely'. It was an honor to be with them as this change occured.

A lot more can be done in the Hospice field to create a better condition for the dying patient. Better drugs, better personal care, a more wholistic approach. Aleviating suffering is always the key point of focus. Both patient and family need that help.

You should go volunteer to work in a Hospice or Homecare hospice program . Go ahead stick you hands in it. Watch a few people go. Learn what it is really like. See what people who really care are trying to do.

Kavorkian is a mad fuker who had the right idea of helping people in terminal illness but whose follow through is right out of the pages of the Marqe deSade. Its sad. He means well but he just got off track.

Oh....by the way. I would not wish a painful death on anyone. Its like slamming a door on your hand.
