Lots of birds, but I suppose you realize that the only mammal native to NZ is a bat (you could include some seals and dolphins). Black swans are very common here, along with great numbers of migratory birds of various kinds.

Have not made N.Z yet. The birds in Oz, treated like starlings here, were so spectacular it was distracting on the golf course. So too was my golf ball lying quite close to a pair of spheres belonging to a lounging Boomer. I was careful to extract my ball without disturbing the others:)
