re:"I thought he said something like he can go along with evolution but not the idea that it was just LUCK that humans evolved"

Senator Brownback stated that he is willing to accept any part of evolutionary theory that does not conflict with his faith. And as a letter writer to the NYTimes said; "As science has yet to prove or disprove the existence of a divine power, and probably never will, I will use my gift of reason, be it from God or evolutionary serendipity, to inform my beliefs and decisions."

There are many scientists who don't dismiss creation, but that phony term "intelligent design" is merely cosmetic to make it sound scientific. I think surveys taken over the last few decades show that about 60% of scientists do not believe in a god. How many "intelligent design" text books have been published? What kind of data is included???? Do the authors subject intelligent design to the same scrutiny that they and the scientists thems use on science??? No friggin way!! In fact, science is far more skeptical of its own work than any religionist would ever be... They are in different leagues.
