Actually, Nick's father blamed (in public) the US Govt. for his son's death. They had illegally detained him in Iraq for 13 days. On 5 April, Berg's family filed a suit in federal court in Philadelphia - contending that their son was being held illegally by the US military in Iraq. The next day, he was released and left to get himself home. The last time the family heard from him was on 9 April. His headless body was found near Mosul on 8 May. For all we know the FBI/CIA never did release him... They're not above murder there and have this deep-seated hatred of peace activists. I'm sure the Berg family has been working to get to the bottom of Nick's murder. But, I'm sure it's impossible to get past the Bush Administration Law of Omerta.

Watch the Nick Berg video and tell me those masked men are Arabs. They might be, but they all look six feet tall and stocky and possibly white, plus the leader wears a gold Rolex which Islamists would never wear. It is against their religious to wear expensive jewelry.

Since they wear masks they could be anybody. And far rightwing creeps who carried out the Abu Graiab business might just be ruthless enough to behead a pacifist liberal kid they caught in Iraq. Maybe. They beheaded plenty of people in Vietnam as part of the Phoenix Program.

Second, the Pat Tillman case is very disturbing. His family is not ruling out the possibility that rightwing soldiers murdered him because he was against the Iraq War and might go public about it. Fragging was common in Vietnam. Tillman might have been fragged by rightwing Bush supporters.

Also look at the way they lied about Jessica Lynch. Everything for propaganda purposes, regardless of fact. And of course the massive piles of lies about Saddam's supposed "threat to the USA".
