Well, of course kids who are taught one-on-one on the elementary school level are going to do better than kids who aren't. But most kids aren't lucky enough to have that advantage. -Z

Jim, re:Cuba Which way do the gulf ocean currents flow? Seems odd the environmentalists don't have a problem with far eastern countries drilling for oil in the gulf. Myself, I'd trust an Exxon tanker before I'd trust a Ho Chi Minh oil tanker. Seems the dems have shot themselves in the foot again listening to their environmental whackos...

Come on over to the real estate thread. I don't have time to explain everything to you here. Subject 51347; I don't need to read a SI RE thread to know what's happening in the housing market. A year ago, the housing bears [that would include you] were predicting anywhere from a national recession to a depression thanks to the cratering of the housing market. So far all we have experienced is a national slowdown effecting some markets and not others. RE:"What's home schooling got to do with a spelling bee?" Apparently a lot. You have a very strong inclination to base your suppositions on anecdotal evidence. That approach to viewing issues is evident with your so called RE bust; your belief that home schooling won the spelling bee; your observations re. Dems......a whole host of problems and issues. That's why I brought up the RE bust when you starting talking about homeschooling and the spelling bee.
