There is one lingua franca in the world and it isn't latin, russian, french, spanish, mandarin, or german. <How many official tongues do they have in the NZ parliament,> NZ has two official languages, but really there is only one and it isn't the stone age language which doesn't even have a plural and which is unintelligible to 99.999% of the world's population. The sooner all the redundant languages fizzle out, the better. A stone is just a stone. There's no point in having 1000 different words for the same thing.
