You have to wonder how much pull Christiane Amanpour has with CNN. She should have been fired when Eason Jordan left.

Sue the Nation(trial lawyers supporter) banned me from her forum so quickly I'm suffering whiplash. Guess those liberal lemmings can't cope with diversity of opinion.

Anyway, re your post on Al Gore being fit for sumo wrestling, he definitely fits that portly profile.

Re: "...how they <the media> handled the Amsterdam cartoon incident..."

You mean the countless editorials expressing SUPPORT for the freedom of the press?

(Not sure how that can be characterized as 'caving in to' any 'terrorists'.)

Only media outlets I can recall giving much support to the principle of CONTROLLING what the Press is ALLOWED TO SAY about religions... were some of the State-controlled official media outlets in the Islamic parts of the globe (Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, Egypt, etc.)... and, at various times, different religious press organs right here in the good ole U.S. of A.

Generally, the Western Press quite proudly supports the principles of Freedom of the Press --- but perhaps you can recollect something that I've forgotten?
