So it was "simplistic" of Paul to oppose the invasion and "pragmatic" of Clinton to support it. I guess it's a question of priorities. I don't place as much importance on social issues like abortion and gay marriage as I do on foreign policy issues like war. But the main point of my post was that I think it is a mistake to consider politicians who call themselves conservatives as traditionalists. Many of them have little concern for tradition, or for conserving anything except their own wealth and power.
