By your own admission, you agree with Iran that the need for nuclear power generation is necessary.

So Iranians are going to use nuclear power to run their automobiles? Really now...

Listen.. in all seriousness.. I don't have a problem with Iran having nuclear power. It's legal, it's permissible, and it's prestigious, if carried out under internationally accepted terms (and not by buying technology, including weapons plans, covertly from other countries like Pakistan)..

But their program has to be fully overt, and it needs to be open to INTERNATIONAL inspection.

And there must be physical and binding treaty assurances (with appropriate consequences) that no weaponization of their nuclear technology will occur.

Not when you have idiots like Ahmadinejad attempting to wage proxy wars against Israel.. Does he really think Israel won't destroy Iran, and every other country in the region, should they be threatened with annihilation?

I personally don't think he cares... As a Mahdist, he doesn't really have any loyalty to the Iranian nation/state, only to the Mahdi and the restoration of the Caliphate in Shi'a hands.

And I think he'll sacrifice whoever is required if he's permitted to pursue his public vision of paving the way for the advent of the Mahdi.
