ElM, that's not very bad mismanagement. All governments mismanage things to a greater or lesser extent. Check out Brazil for example. Look how NZ has gone from 3rd GDP per capita in the world to way down the line somewhere. The USA despite the mismanagement is still one of the richest per capita and life is pretty good there.
