The crash was very limited. For example both the hangseng (20674, +71) and the hsce index (10884, +10) rose that day.

Ltd. Simcere will pay approx RMB 26.83 mln in cash for the 10% stake, and its total equity interest in Shandong Simcere Medgenn will reach 90% upon completion of the transaction. Do the math: 100% of SCR would cost 268.3MM RMB, equalling as little as 35.2MM USD. Now, SCR sports a market cap of nearly 1B. The controlling owner purchases additional stock for only 1/30 of its current market value. What is wrong?
