Re: "Well if you going to maintain again and again that unproven allegations of engaging in a proxy war are the same as being a major active declared enemy then I suppose there is no point in continuing the conversation."

Well... ESPECIALLY if you are gonna keep MISQUOTING ME, and MISSTATING WHAT I SAID, then it's probably a waste of time to continue.... :-)

I *never* said that a "proxy war" was "the same as" a "declared war". (In fact... I believe I NEVER even used the term 'proxy war', in ANY of my posts. Although I would not dispute that that is what Pakistan has been fighting in Afghanistan and in Kashmir.... You are quoting from YOUR OWN WORDS there, Tim. <ggg> And, I'm SURE that I pointed out that this so-called W.O.T. is *NOT* a "declared war"... because, in fact, the US hasn't formally declared any wars since WW II.)

And, as far as "unproven allegations", I'm not sure at all what LEVEL of 'proof' you routinely REQUIRE in your foreign relations there, Tim. :-)

All I said that could be reasonably marked-up into the category of 'verification' for these Intelligence and Military matters... was that the C.I.A., British Intelligence, Indian Intelligence, private Intelligence outfits such as Stratfor, and the government of Afghanistan have *ALL* spoken (some quite recently) to the truthfulness of - what did you call it? Oh: these 'allegations'. Believe I also mentioned that - (if they were speaking with us... :-) - the Iranians would no doubt also concur.)

Of course, you are certainly free to ignore whatever you wish to, and believe or not believe, whatever you want to, sip any Cool-Aid that pleases you.... It's still a mostly-free world, Tim! :-)
