They news media seems to be so involved with every horrifying story that they can't admit they reported incorrectly? What an absolute and utter disgrace! Have you sent this out to FOX News?

Our military is doing everything right and what do they get in return, they lied about. This has got to stop. It's demoralizing to our troops, effecting moral here and overseas and worse yet, it's boosting the ego of the enemies.

Carolyn, thanks for posting that. I'm going to send a copy of this to my representative and everyone else I can. These soldiers deserve better then this.

I disagree with Sam in 2 areas:

1. I'm not convinced that the media outlets that strive to sensationalize or create defeats in Iraq are simply dupes of
terrorist or sympathetic organizations. IMO, they are simply no longer news organzations but people with a political agenda.

2. Sam said: "This kind of selective sensationalism wouldn't
fly in the states. There are too many protections, both ethical and
legal, that prevent such calculated, intentional, and malicious bias -
evidenced by both selective omission of the good and intentionally
pessimistic spin of the bad. But apparently, our military – and the
Iraqi military – aren't afforded such protections..."

To the contray, this type of reporting "flies" all the time
and not just with respect to Iraq.

After learning of the political bias of Walter Cronkite and how he used that to his advantage on "The CBS Evening News", and after witnessing the debacle of Dan Rather and his fraudulent reporting during the 2004 Presidential election, and then seeing with my own eyes the doctored/photoshopped pictures of the war in Lebanon between Israel and Hezbollah in 2006, I have become very cynical and frankly have a very hard time trusting anything the MSM has to say.

They are politically biased and will do or say almost anything to sway public opinion in their favor.

This kind of behavior from news organizations is disgusting and dangerous imo.

Our military is doing the work most Americans won't do, and certainly no illegal Mexican would do it, as it is beneath them.
It must be beneath the Mexicans or else they would have fought for their own country to throw out their corrupt government, and take charge of their own country just as we did in 1776.

Our military has the worst job in the world, and yet they do it, and don't ask for free hand outs for their aunts, uncles, brothers and sisters, free health care for every relative standing on a street corner, and schooling for the non-English speaking children they’ve left behind to offer up their life, so they could send their meager salary home to a foreign country.

Tell your senators that the MILITARY is doing the job most Americans won't do, and then tell them the American taxpayers will set up a date and all bring a brick to help build the wall that the Senate approved and never built along the Mexican border. They'll see who won't do what job when we show up with shovels and mortar in hand..
