Your so funny, the weapons inspectors on the ground in Iraq were screaming before the invasion they were unable to find WMDs. So not everyone as you claim believed they had the capabilities. In fact, if you read any one of Bob Woodward's books on the Bush presidency he nicely documents the stretch in thinking and the shoddy analyis, or actually, the ignoring of analysis, that led to the "imminent threat to America" claim from Bush. The Bush administration saw only what it wanted to see in the analysis to justify going to war. In fact, most State Department and whoever else involved in the analysis of WMD data on Iraq that suggested the data was suggesting something other than what the administration wanted to hear quickly saw their careers sidelined. I believe the Bush administration wanted to go to war with Iraq and was looking for any excuse to do so. You don't think it has anything to do with all the oil Iraq is floating on do you. Or do you believe the President, that our aim is to bring freedom and liberty and democracy to the Iraqi people.
