You said it a post a while back that you hated religious people for thinking they knew the truth. Thats why I brought it up. The charitable donation aspect says a lot about people in my mind. I have the same wants that everyone else does but sometimes I have to just be grateful for what I have and pony up the dough for someone else. I think sometimes we all need to do that. Maybe I'm wrong but my idea of what life was like in the 1940's in America is pretty cool. People sacrificed for each other and the good of the country. We had purpose and direction. I'm also sure we had disagreements but I don't think its anything like today. We've found a way to divide (and this has been going on for a while now) and subdivide our entire culture. The luster of America has been tarnished - not lost - but its in a serious world of hurt. At some point in time we're going to either realize that living by the division bell is killing us or our culture and traditions will be lost forever. I'm not having a "can't we all just get along moment." I've felt this way for a long time and I think we're all pitching in and helping lead the way to our own destruction. I don't want to hear about GWB, Clinton, the war - none of those things were the inception of what we have today. All we need to do is look in the mirror and I think we'll find that we've all made a contribution towards making this country less than what it could and should be. We'd better find a way to bring people together again or the future is really going to suck! I don't want to hand that legacy off to my son - he didn't ask to be born - he was brought here through no fault of his own. Every single person has an obligation to buck up and try to fix things before we leave a complete pit for our kids to inherit.
