I agree....there are many scientists who strongly accept evolution but nonetheless believe in a god. Their concept of God may be vastly different than yours. Einstein, for example, could not explain the existence or formation of the universe but he did not believe in a personal god..... Thomas Jefferson was a Deist, and was not Christian. As to your last four comments and your question, am I surprised? My answers are: Yes, yes, yes, and yes.
