I don't know if "respect for the principle of Freedom of the Press" is the real issue here or not... I wasn't coming from that particular direction... whether there's "respect for the principle of Freedom of the Press" has much to do with how the press is treated by the government, i.e., chaves and the television station closing vs. Bush and the liberal media here who bash him but remain open, for example... if european papers ran the cartoon there more than here, then I think I could only say they have more guts... although, I find that hard to believe...
