2,500,000 Viet-Nam veterans served 12 month tours in Viet-Nam. So far, only one veteran has been identified who served less than 5 months in-country, yet received credit for a 12 month tour.

did phase him a bit when he boogied out of there and just left his men behind to complete their 12 month tours..... he was basically, just too busy typing up award recommendations for himself......
