When Iraq was one secular nation, Turkey and the Kurd regions of Iraq had the same problems they are facing now, with one hitch. When the Turks weren't invading the Kurdish regions and annihilating Kurds, Saddam was doing it. Now there is no Saddam Regime, so the Turks are demanding the American Military pick up the Saddam role of putting down the Kurd rebels. If we don't they are warning that we should expect the Turk Army to cross the border like the good ole days.

Your resolution doesn't seem to address the reality of the current crisis.

Don't be such an imperialist. Let third world people make their own national decisions on things like that. Just because your white of European origin doesn't give you the right to carve up the world any way you want.

The Iraqis are in the process of partitioning their country. They are doing it by violence and ethnic cleansing. Eventually all Sunnis will live together and all Shiites will live together and we will have what Bush refers to as "an acceptable level of violence". Some might even call that victory.
