That's in the Cascades? ... they're an extension of our Coast range, which don't seem to be as rich minerally as the Rockies and near-Rockies ... not that there aren't mines, but there seem to be more and bigger mines as you head east a little .... like Idaho is richer than Washington and Oregon to its west

Ah, got it here in a US atlas, says Trail population 160 [atlas printed '72], E5 ... so to Prospect that is up the Rogue River, would be beautiful country, that ... my favourite state of the US, although parts of Idaho Montana and New Mexico were right up there too forty years ago

In northern BC and Alaska the coast range gets pretty rich ... Greenscreek, Galore Creek, Schaft Creek, lots of creeks ... and of course as you go south the Sierra Nevada had a vein or two ... there may be a lot to find yet, between say Trail Oregon and Terrace BC
