To the contrary. Iran certainly would certainly have an interest in seeing a bordering theocratic nation next to it. The US and Iran assisting jointly in the creation of the new state would markedly improve relations between the US and Iran.

And the parties to the north would be similar in percentage of ethnic representation, thus making a secular society very, very possible--one free of Saddam's tyranny and today's sectarian violance.

I wouldn't call anyone "stupid," except for most of the decisions of the Bush-Cheney Administration.
