I have some bad news for you and a book to suggest, one that may keep you awake at night. The news is that the big business interests like war and the money it makes for them, a recent one liner in film "The Interpreter" being, "There are no nations anymore, only multinational businesses." Hence Clintons and Bushes want "globalism"
Only one candidate with any credibility for me, and he has NO chance, is Congressman Ron Paul who of the Reps is the ONLY Rep to call for the end of foreign adventures, to bring our troops home now...if he gets to where he looks like he has a chance then I suspect he will be killed, and he probably knows it. He is 72.
The book that may keep you up at night is almost as bothersome as another I have suggested to Jay here, the new one being "Crossing the Rubicon."
Its author used to have an office in Oregon but it was ransacked and burned, and he has left the USA for Canada. He was a cop in LA until he lost his job for linking CIA and drug business in LA...now why in light of Iran-Contra should that surprise anyone.
Except for Don Quixote-like Paul, all voices running for CEO of this country belong to crooked scum, including the Clinton female, Guillianni, and all the rest. Like was said in "Road Warrior" 20 years ago, you can run but you can't hide. Empire rules. And Americans would mostly rather watch crap like Survivor than read what is really going on, like the RFID chip to go into law next May, and the Patriot Act. Our forebears went to war with England for less than what Bush did with he Patriot Act.
