ElM, I haven't seen you on my travels - not that I remember anyway, but there have been a LOT of people. Maybe your travels are taking you to the wrong places.

I think I've done enough traveling to have a fair idea of what's going on around the world, near enough, for government work.

TJ seems to have spread his wings somewhat too.

this time, when it goes, it will all go
correlation will be 1.00
courtesy of globalisation
no place will be spared of the initial shock and awe
no place to hide and no where to run to
you do not actually believe that when global interest rate continues to rise, and genuine capital starts to fear, that brazil will be spared, do you?

after the onset of event singularity
a genuine decoupling will take place
with the renaissance civilizations crossing the dark interregnum with enthusiasm, diligent work, deep learning, plenty of savings, and once in several generations cultural renewal

i am not sure what will happen to the tired states saddled with legacy of imperialism, colonialism and empire hubris, probably just go pop as pop cultures tend to do

recommendation: panic, but panic early, for it is rational
