I don't think Bloomberg would be running as a "make a statement" candidate. I think he'd be running as a candidate that was trying to appeal to the 60% of the country that really doesn't care about all the "fringe" issues and just wants the country safe and sound both "economy wise" and "security wise". He might have a shot at winning. Or at least throwing the election to the congress where everybody would have to finally come to a decision about the things that really SHOULD matter.
