You want a Democracy, or not??????? You see... that's the thing about Democracy and elected governments --- they aren't often as PLIABLE as Dictators are. If they reject the extension of the UN Mandate, when it runs out this December, or put conditions on a continued foreign troop presence as seems likely... then there will only be three choices for us: work with the conditions and the elected government that we always said we wanted to see there, or defy the elected government and stay as illegal occupiers, or accept that Iraq belongs to the Iraqis but don't accept their conditions on us --- and pull out.
