Because the Tower #1 debris fell on it and fires from before #1 collapse and after burned out of control at 1800 + degrees. I think the conspiracy here is to cover up faulty construction of the towers at the beginning which would have implicated many NYC pols, unions, construction companies and perhaps a few real estate (now) moguls. Back in the day NY was union and mafia run and construction companies whether by choice or necessity often scrimped on supplies. Remember carmella sopranos house built by her dad with the faulty wood? NY is legendry for buildings with faulty wiring. IF there was a coverup thats what i think it was all about. And i would love to get to the bottom of that but as James points out much of the evidence is gone, perhaps deliberately. The real ongoing crime of 9/11 was that folks kept putting people in harms way when everyone knew the quality of the air down there was poisonous. I wore a mask as i walked from subway to my office for about three-six months post attack. I know people who are very sick now who worked at the site.
