I liked Rudy until he let on how uninformed he truly was.

Ron is a problem for Republicans because he is a mirror for every single one of them to look at to get a true reflection of just how far away from true republicans they are.

No offense to your position or opinion intended. On gun control, Ron Paul is very consistent with his stated position. He supports the Constitution. The 2nd amendment is clearly written and any scholar that researches its original intent without any personal political leanings would conclude it clearly means that government can't regulate the right to bear arms, that the existing gun control laws are unconstitutional, and are an illegal intrusion of the federal government into private matters. So Paul's position is: if you want to change it then legally pass a constitutional amendment to change it.
There sure are a lot of idiots (in DC in particular.) <grin>

The problem with freedoms is that some of them we just don't and never will agree with. They are meant to protect the minority. To trash the Constitution and/or Bill of Rights to favor your individual "cause" is a slippery slope. Only Paul is consistent in this. I hate the NRA, but would defend anyone's right to own a gun. If you want to change the Bill of Rights - there is a procedure.
