What does that say for our country

She's headed down the toilet I'm afraid.

I also think that in looking at the college shooting we have trained the fight instinct out of our young. I can't imagine college students of the 40's and 50's hiding under desks waiting to be shot by a lone gunman. Today we have so discouraged fighting for any reason that our young are a group of castrated pansies. I mean I heard of 1 student pushing a desk and blocking the doorway to his classroom which saved everyone in his room. The rest of the folks just hid under their desks waiting and praying.

I truly found that unreal.

That whole situation speaks volumes about our society today.

The majority don't want to get involved, it's not directly effecting them at that particular moment in time. They think if they don't acknowledge it, it will go away or better yet, they have the idea that someone else will handle it.

Well, what happens when there's no one left who wants to handle it.

We are a people who have had so much hand holding for so long, we have become so dependent on someone else doing for us we have gotten out of the habit of helping ourselves.
