If I went for a stroll after dark there, I'd
probably be mugged by a young unemployed man...with a gun.

I can go for a walk virtually anywhere and not worry about being mugged. I have a concealed weapons permit. I can go anywhere in Michigan and the 30 something other states that honor Michigan's CCW permit.

With any luck, the Supreme Court will overturn DC's ban on handguns. I believe they have agreed to rule on the issue.

What exactly does he say about Roe v Wade?

He's pro-life but he believe in a woman's right to choose and that the Federal gov't shouldn't be legislating abortion.

Again Dr. Paul is consistently in support of the Constitution.
The 2nd amendment specifically covers firearms rights, so Paul supports it and supports the way the Constitution stipulates changes can be made to it. The 9th and 10th amendments are the ones that reserve to individuals or the states all the rights that are not specifically stated in the Constitution to be within the purview of the federal government. Since abortion is not a right stated to be in the purview of the federal government in the Constitution, Dr. Paul supports the states and local govts rights to regulate those rights in their locales. I am not quoting Dr. Paul here; this is my interpretation of his position based on his statements that I have read or heard.
