Yes, and it burns off fast and does not attain its maximum temperatures for very long, and these maximum temperatures are, as I recall, about 1,000 degrees less than they need to be to melt steel.

The designers of the WTC buildings designed and built VERY strong
structures which took into account the possibility of an airliner
crashing into it.
