"Fight this impulse to raise taxes...." I wouldn't hold the breath waiting to see. :-) (Yesterday the Wash. Times reported that Rudy'd dodged all attempts to get him to commit to any 'no new tax pledge', and he won't sign up for balanced budget, etc.... :-) IMO, he's shaping up to be the closest kin to a George W. that there is in the field of candidates this go-round. (You know... all big-spending, big-government, interventionist 'nation building' sort --- on the public's dime, of course....) Kinda like a Dubbya who'd grown up in the big city, don't 'cha know.... 'Libertarian', my ass. (Sounds maybe like the new "L word" is gonna get a work-out by the mass media though --- the American-raised philosophy must be gaining in the public's esteem... now that must surely be buzzing off the establishment 'Republi-crats'. :-)

Fortunately it is intellect, honesty, integrity, and wisdom that make the man. Traits that your garden variety first level candidates lack. Ron Paul when he suggested that Big Business and Big Government get out of the healthcare business: Ron Paul was raising the flag on this subject when Giuliani was shitting yellow. One of forty three statements Doctor Paul has made on the subject of healthcare. ronpaullibrary.org It will be fascinating if Giuliani pursues these ideas since they provide a clear choice About as much chance as the proverbial snowball... Like most politicians you can tell when he is lying because his lips are moving. Too bad we can't get some face time for somebody who has something worthwhile to say and says what he means.
