Cyprian > Morality comes from God, Who created all things, including you.

The difference between us is how one envisages the "entity" you call God. Of course, I recognize that I didn't "create" myself and that, whatever I am, will last the briefest of moments in the order of things. I fully appreciate that my "substance" does not belong to me and will return to the earth when I am no more.

But having said that, I believe I have to fulfill whatever destiny I can see for myself, which is precisely what you are doing. You, and with undoubted sincerity, believe you are here to fulfil some supernatural destiny, and indeed a destiny which is defined in the Bible. I, on the other hand, will lead my life as I see it and as I find it -- and when I am no more that's curtains for me. If I miss out on the supernatural side of things, well that's too bad -- I guess I made a bad choice.

Dammit, man, do you think I don't know that all I have to do to get that "everlasting life" is to accept Jesus as the "lord" and voila -- I'm in. But I'll wait another ten years or so and maybe do it then. I'll repent my sins and prepare myself for "everlasting life" in "heaven". Easy, peasy -- the story is on TV, 24/7, and on many channels.
