(Is this woman a speed freak on acid or what I struggle to understand what could POSSIBLY cause her to demonstrate such a weak and unfocused line of attack?) I mean, She BEGINS by telling the poor reader, (in the article's VERY TITLE!) that she is going to talk about "emigration" concerns... (See her article's title Bush's America: As long as we're adopting an open borders policy for immigration, how about opening the borders for emigration?, by Ann Coulter.) Then she rambles all around the place, in her patented method, visiting dispirit unrelated topic after dispirit topic, in a grand display of apparent illogic and lack-of-focus while bloviating for money.... GOING ON FOR THIRTEEN FULL PARAGRAPHS BEFORE REMEMBERING TO EVEN DROP IN A REFERENCE TO WHAT SHE HAD CLAIMED THE ARTICLE WAS GOING TO BE ABOUT: ... 'emigration' issues, if anyone still remembers by then. (And, then it turns out that she is not really even talking about the rights of emigration at all --- but rather the Imperial over-reach of our nation's TAX LAWS --- a subject with with I am in complete agreement with this 'lady who can't reach a focused point without acres of off-topic screeching first', but, by then, I am surely wishing that she would quit hitting her rock pipe before approaching a typewritter!) Imagine... bouncing disjointedly from RACISM TO HARRIET MIERS TO AMNESTY TO LINDA CHAVEZ TO LIBERAL SMEARS TO ABORTION TO IMMIGRATION LAWS TO TED KENNEDY TO BOB KENNEDY TO TEDDY DRINKING TO IMMIGRATION ACT 1965 TO THE IRISH TO HISTORICAL RACIAL QUOTAS IN AMERICAN IMMIGRATION TO THE D.A.R. TO AMERICA AS A ROACH MOTEL.... Sheesh.... How can you read this meth-head's crap without giving yourself an aneurysm? :-) By the way --- when she FINALLY gets back to the word "emigration", it turns out that what she is talking about is the LAMENTABLE inclination of the US IRS to want to tax everybody everywhere, for as long as it possibly can, (and, specifically, the tax code provisions that allow the US to tax SOME very rich people who depart our shores, renounce their American citizenship in favor of becoming citizens of some other country... some country with a LOWER TAX BITE that is <ggg>). This ties right in with the fact that the US is the i>ONLY COUNTRY (that I'm aware of) left in the entire world that still INSISTS on taxing the earnings of it's citizens which are earned when they are working in FOREIGN LANDS --- the US's so-called 'global tax system', instead of what most every other reasonable country in the world uses, which is called a "territorial tax system" that, for example, would not tax foreign earnings... allowing them to be taxed in the location in which they are earned. But, this is all an aspect of our corrupted, overly-massive, Big Government's 'Empire sustaining' tax policy... not really much to do with national 'emigration'. :-) So, if the dis-jointed lady wishes to join with me in calling for a radical OVERHAUL of our nation's entire corrupt tax system, and join with me in supporting an amendment to our constitution to install a provision mandating a national Balanced Budget (to only way to truly shrink to massive over-growth of the federal government, and it's associated inevitable deficits...), then I'd be happy to welcome here to the side of 'light and right'. (Until then though, until she is willing to get serious about the problem... could you possibly prevail upon the lady to cut back on the 'rock' a bit before putting her stream-of-consciousness down in hard copy?????????)
