Bush fired the IRS attorneys about two years ago. They were let go and not replaced. They were the ones specifically tasked with going after rich tax cheats. It was in the news. This may be similar to Bush firing Prosecutors who went after corrupt GOP politicians and didn't trump up charges against democrats. Who was Bush protecting by firing the attorneys?
