John O'Neill never even met Kerry in Vietnam. He was Kerry's replacement, and I might add, performed much less bravely than Kerry, getting no medals at all. But he was recruited by Charles Colson, the felon who ran Nixon's dirty tricks ops. And on the Watergate Tapes you can plainly hear Nixon order Colson to use O'Neill to 'destroy" Kerry. The terrible tragedy for the USA is that it worked not in 1971, but in 2004. The smearvets were all 100% liars. It was all a big important well-funded dirty trick and slime job, a phony negative ad posing as a real-life thing.
