Really? I thought the legal entanglements where because she committed a crime, not because Americans are generally angry at the rich.

The public's upset doesn't have to do with her legal woes. It had to do with her getting special treatment because she is rich and famous. When the Sheriff let her out of jail after 3 days of a 23 day sentence, the public uproar was huge.....emails and phone calls deluged the Sheriff's dept, the City Attorney and the LA County Supervisors, 100% upset that she was let out early. As a consequence, it looks like now she will have to serve the full 45 days instead of the reduced 23.

From Edwards $300 haircut to the salaries paid to pro athletes to the over the top salaries of CEOs to the spending, corruption and criminal behavior by Congress, Americans are fed up with the flagrant display of disproportionate wealth by the rich and famous in this country. Its not unlike a 'ho displaying her wares in church.
