San Francisco is a disgusting den of iniquity. IMHO all Federal funds should be withdrawn, all federal posts, military etc etc should be withdrawn and we ought to erect a high WALL around the city and keep the animals in. Eventually they will all die of Aids and we can start over. jdn

These people who are opposing the Blue Angels and anything military have no concept of what it is like for the terrorists to bomb their city. And, I pray they never do.

Sandoval doesn't have a clue-----"The United States should not have a military. All in all, we would be in much, much, much better shape."

When pressed for an answer of how would we defend ourselves, Sandoval said that was what we had cops and the Coast Guard for."

Sure hope we never have Sandoval moving onto Congress.

Blues Out Of San Fran?

Yesterday's warmed over soup:

All the San Francisco communists, socialists, naked and tattooed bicycle riders, drug laden sixty year old hippies and other assorted nut cases who live there cannot do a damn thing about the Blue Angels unless the USN and FAA decide to honor such an idiotic demand.

The Blue Angels operate from a military field (in this case - NAS Moffet) and the Federal Aviation Administration controls all airspace in this country (including San Francisco which hasn't yet abdicated) unless relinquished to another authority.

There are only two arguments which the FAA would take a serious look at and they are: (1) The noise impact upon the general public generated by the air show and (2) a potential safety threat to other aircraft in the bay area.

All this has been tried several times before and the squeaky wheel did not get greased.

Supervisor Chris Daly, mentioned in the article, might be the pimping for the next election by suggesting a Resolution which has the about same force of law as one which congratulates a civil servant for 30 years of service to the public. (I will cut him some slack though and offer that he may be using this tool to quiet these idiots.)

Fortunately, not everyone is a damn fool who live in the bay area and appreciate the "top gun" quality of flying by these dedicated military pilots plus the value of our armed forces.

We can only hope.
