The confederate flag is a symbol of the rebellion that started that war. As such, its an offensive symbol.......much like the swastika and other offensive symbols

you can't be that stupid can you ? The confederate flag is about state rights and freedom from a tryannical government

I'm not arguing that people shouldn't take offense at the symbol. I said that most of the people who display the symbol don't want a resumption of slavery. Then I went on to say that they are not all racists. The leap from what I said to the point you are attacking is a rather large one.

BTW, in terms of offensive symbols what do you think of wearing hammer and sickle or Che t-shirts?
