Well said Jim. Right now we have near non-existent enforcement of immigration laws & numerous incentives for illegals to stay (social services, free education, health care, welfare, etc.). Remove the incentives & enforce the laws rigorously, sans the "wild west roundups" & you will see them head back to their home countries PDQ. I doubt most Americans would care if these same people then signed up for guest worker programs that could lead to citizenship for those who meet appropriate criteria that benefits both the US & the potential immigrant.
