And the metal in question has different price futures by far IMO.

I see Ni at half the price in 2-3 yrs, and gold much higher.
I think Ni can be supplied as mines play catch-up, but Gold,
its just not to be had. Only the large central banks stocks,
but there is a limit to how much more they can afford to disgorge.

Pueblo viejo is a different beastie than VMS. VMSs generally made about the same time as the host rock (hot water carrying metals spews out on the ocean floor and feeds those tubeworms and such on the ocean bottom), Pueblo Viejo was formed much later than the host rocks, probably formed by hot water flowing through cracks in rocks much older than the age of the mineralisation, and probably closely related to a big, classic type volcano or volcanos.
