I think the camp went out of business... though there were no smitings or plagues involved, perhaps God was displeased. The lord giveth and the lord taketh away :-) I think all heavy duty religious indoctrinations - of any sect, just about anywhere on the planet- look like, and are, brainwashing. Of course all people who indoctrinate their children, or who turn them over to someone else for indoctrination, think they are doing it for the child's own good. It's hard to argue with people who violently and completely believe they are doing good- especially when that good is the Lord's work.
