So then, if slavery had nothing to do with it, why did Lincoln free the slaves? He only freed the slaves in the south. Slaves were too large of a contribution to the war effort. Lincoln didn't give the freed slaves the right to vote; why was that? If the war was started over slavery, why was slavery still legal in the north? Why was the black man refused the right to vote in the north? You and Z really should learn the complete history of the Civil War and not what you think "feels" right.
