Basically I'm saying: I give my representative a mandate to act on the interests of my state. He should not overstretch that and act to advance the case of a foreign country.

This points to someone pulling the strings behind. That is dangerous. Harms the interests of the U.S. because it creates animosity against the U.S.

Not that condone the opposite, of feeling powerless and going unorthodox. I am talking about if this is ethical.
