I don't know.
This is a Canadian company.
I don't know about Canada, but in the U.S., the gov't couldn't care less about environmental issues.
Perhaps, Canadians are more sympathetic to these things.
The company itself has a TON of cash.
If they also have a ton of influence, they'll be successful.
However, I understand there are two major problems with the location of the mines:
1. Mercury in the water
2. Earthquakes
Two dangerous geological issues this company will have to overcome.
Time will tell.
