When I was in Wyoming some place advertized that it was the oldest bar in the west, my wife and I had to go. it was like 60 miles out of our way. It was the most run down POS place I ever saw, the bathrooms over hung a creek where the urinals empty. It wasn't the oldest bar, but had the oldest 'bar' some plank of wood that they said was the bar in some saloon in the early 1800s. what a waste of time, live and learn

Whistler has some of the finest restaurants I've been in and several drinking establishments to choose from. I hope she got to go up on one of the Gondolas and do some hiking in between.
